THE HEXAPOD PROJECT The HEXAPOD project was born in June 2023 with the idea of creating a printable robot with an inexpensive 3D printer that can walk on different terrains. After several months of planning in November 2023, the robot body was assembled. ![]() In February 2024, software was finally able to lift it, translate it, and allow it to walk smoothly on a smooth surface. I wrote the book BUILD AN HEXAPOD available on Amazon: where I summarized all the steps needed to design and build this robot But the project is not over-the robot is equipped with tactile feet, and soon it should be able to walk on uneven surfaces. ![]() I will use this robot as a platform for testing sensors and electronic devices. I had build the facebook group HEXAPOD hoping for the cooperation of many enthusiasts, and, when there is enough material, publish a sequel to the book. | ||
