THE HEXAPOD PROJECT The HEXAPOD project was born in June 2023 with the idea of creating a printable robot with an inexpensive 3D printer that can walk on different terrains. After several months of planning in November 2023, the robot body was assembled. In February 2024, software was finally able to lift it, translate it, and allow it to walk smoothly on a smooth surface. I wrote the book BUILD AN HEXAPOD available on Amazon: where I summarized all the steps needed to design and build this robot But the project is not over-the robot is equipped with tactile feet, and soon it should be able to walk on uneven surfaces. I will use this robot as a platform for testing sensors and electronic devices. I had build the facebook group HEXAPOD hoping for the cooperation of many enthusiasts, and, when there is enough material, publish a sequel to the book. | ||
